出自《史记·扁鹊仓公列传》，把快要死的人救活。常用来形容医术高明，比喻把没有希望的事挽回过来。
From the Biographies of Bian Que and Cang Gong in the Records of the Grand Historian. It refers to being able to save someone on the verge of death, and is used to praise outstanding medical skills or metaphorically describe turning around a hopeless situation.
扁鹊本名秦越人，是战国时期的名医。
Bian Que, whose birth name was Qin Yueren, was a renowned physician during the Warring States period.
一次扁鹊到了虢国，听说虢国太子得了气血不和的暴症死了，还不到半天时间。他觉得太子或许还有救，于是赶到宫门告诉看门的人，说自己能够让太子复活。
Once when Bian Que visited the State of Guo, he heard that the crown prince had died from a severe attack of qi-blood disharmony less than half a day ago. However, Bian Que felt the prince may still be savable. He hurried to the palace gate and told the guards he could revive the prince.
看门的人不相信他的话，认为他是在捣乱。扁鹊长叹一声说：“如果不相信我的话，可试着诊治太子，应该能够听到他耳鸣、看见他的鼻子肿了，并且大腿及至阴部还有温热之感。”
The guards didn’t believe him and thought he was causing trouble. Bian Que sighed and said, “If you don’t believe me, try examining the prince – you should be able to hear ringing in his ears, see his nose swollen, and feel warmth remaining in his thighs and groin area.”
看门的人听后赶快入宫禀报，虢国君主亲自到门外迎接扁鹊。
After hearing this, the guards quickly reported inside, and the ruler of Guo came out to welcome Bian Que.
扁鹊看过太子之后说：“太子的病虽重，但只是昏了过去。如果我进行抢救，或者能够救活。”说完后，扁鹊命弟子协助用针灸进行急救，刺太子三阳五会诸穴。
After examining the prince, Bian Que said, “Though the prince’s condition is grave and he has passed out, if I can administer emergency treatment, there may be a chance to revive him.” He then instructed his students to apply acupuncture and moxibustion on the prince’s Sanyangwuhui acupoints for resuscitation.
不一会儿，太子缓缓地出了一口气，慢慢地醒了过来。扁鹊又给太子开了一服药，太子服过后，病情渐渐好转了。
Soon after, the prince exhaled slowly and gradually regained consciousness. Bian Que then prescribed him medicine, and the prince’s condition steadily improved.
这件事在民间争相传颂，大家都说扁鹊有起死回生的绝技。
This event spread far and wide among the people, who all praised Bian Que’s lifesaving skills as being able to “revive from the brink of death.”
