Good morning, everyone. I am Li Jin, the president of the student council of Chenguan Middle School. I am here today to say goodbye to our British friends.
Over the past two weeks, our two schools have held a series of exchange activities, including academic exchanges, cultural exchanges, and sports competitions.
In the academic exchanges, our students and your students had the opportunity to learn about each other’s cultures and educational systems. We visited each other’s classrooms and talked to our teachers and classmates. We also had the opportunity to participate in joint class projects.
In the cultural exchanges, we visited each other’s countries and learned about each other’s customs and traditions. We also had the opportunity to participate in traditional Chinese and British cultural activities, such as calligraphy, tai chi, and cricket.
In the sports competitions, our students competed in a variety of sports, including basketball, badminton, and soccer. We had a lot of fun competing against each other and learning from each other.
Through these exchanges, we have learned a lot about each other and built strong friendships. We have also learned to appreciate our own cultures and the cultures of others.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to have met and worked with our British friends. I hope that our friendship will continue to grow and that we will have the opportunity to meet again in the future.
I wish our British friends a safe journey home. I hope that you will continue to learn and grow and that you will always remember your time here in China.
